About Us

My husband, Robb, and I are Bay Area natives and high school sweethearts who traded a comfortable life for a different future for our children. Despite a successful career in tech, I longed for a more intentional way of living. Together, we began imagining a different kind of life for our family.

During the pandemic, that vision took shape in our own backyard. Robb and my dad built a treehouse, picnic table, and trail for our kids to explore, while I designed and project-managed a farmhouse-style kitchen renovation—all while working full-time and raising two young children. We discovered a shared love for building, creating, and bringing ideas to life with our own hands.

In 2021, we moved cross-country to a rural part of South Florida. Our homesteading journey officially began in 2022 when we purchased a fixer-upper on 2.5 acres and inherited five hens. With no prior experience, we dove into rural life and learned as we went. Robb built a chicken coop from scratch, and those five hens eventually grew into a flock of over 100, alongside our three Catahoula Leopard Dogs.

After three humid Florida summers, we felt called to the mountains and took another leap of faith. We sold our home, left our flock behind, packed our belongings into a small POD, and headed for the Pacific Northwest.

Now, we’re building our homestead from the ground up, learning new skills and embracing a simpler, more intentional way of life one project at a time.

Rooted in family, faith, and intentional living, Clendenen Farms is our way of sharing this journey and inspiring others to pursue what matters most. Our merch reflects the homestead lifestyle and the belief that sometimes the most rewarding path is the one less traveled.

We’re so glad you’re here! Thank you for following along and being part of this next chapter as we cultivate our little corner of the PNW.

With love and gratitude,
Britt
